More Than A Decade With Us: Biomasa Partner Group

Since its foundation in 2012, Biomasa Partner Group has been guided by a clear mission: “Continuously contributing to reducing negative climate change and creating a safe and comfortable environment.” What began as a company focused on supplying wood biomass has evolved into one of Poland’s leading producers and suppliers of certified biomass products, serving customers across Europe.

From Trading to International Markets

Biomasa Partner Group started its activities by building a network of reliable suppliers of raw materials for wood pellet production, as well as partnerships with pellet producers. This collaborative approach laid the foundations for future growth.

A significant milestone came in July 2013, when the company exported its first wood pellets to Italy, Europe’s largest pellet market. The successful entry into Italy opened doors to further expansion, and in the following years Biomasa Partner Group gradually strengthened its presence in Germany, Belgium and Denmark while continuing to grow its customer base across the continent.

In 2014, the company broadened its offering by introducing wood briquettes, marking the beginning of a diversification strategy that would continue throughout the following decade.

Investing in Production and Growth

The year 2017 represented a turning point. Biomasa Partner Group acquired a pellet production facility in Runowo Pomorskie, Poland. Alongside its own production operations, the company established a modern collection and packaging facility dedicated to pellets sourced from external producers.

Growth accelerated further in 2018 with the acquisition of a production plant in Ząbkowice Śląskie. This development enabled the company to expand its portfolio with straw pellets, serving both heating and agricultural applications.

In March 2021, Biomasa Partner Group acquired a sawmill in Chociwel from IKEA Industry. The acquisition marked another important step in diversification, allowing the company to enter the timber sector and broaden its product range with pine sawn timber used for furniture, windows and other wood products.

Most recently, in 2024, the company completed one of its most ambitious investments to date: a state-of-the-art wood pellet factory in Runowo Pomorskie. Equipped with a highly efficient cogeneration system, the facility provides a high degree of energy independence while supporting efficient and sustainable pellet production.

The Role of ENplus® Certification

Quality assurance has always been a cornerstone of Biomasa Partner Group’s strategy. A key milestone in this journey was obtaining ENplus® certification.

The company’s pellets first received the ENplus® A1 PL 303 certification in 2015, followed by the ENplus® A1 PL 027 certification in 2017. These certifications provided internationally recognised confirmation that Biomasa Partner Group meets some of the highest quality requirements in the wood pellet industry.

Beyond demonstrating compliance with strict quality standards, ENplus® certification strengthened customer confidence and enhanced the company’s reputation in international markets. Today, certification remains an important element of Biomasa Partner Group’s commitment to delivering reliable and consistent products to customers throughout Europe.

Today, the company offers ENplus® A1 certified wood pellets; straw pellets for heating applications; straw pellets for biogas production and animal bedding; wood briquettes; raw materials for pellet production; wood biomass for energy generation; pine sawn timber for furniture, windows and construction products.

The company operates production facilities in Runowo Pomorskie, Ząbkowice Śląskie and Chociwel and supplies products both to domestic customers in Poland and to markets across Europe. Over 200 skilled employees work for the company which relies on over 14 years of experience.

Looking Ahead

Although Biomasa Partner Group has built a strong history over the last decade, its focus remains firmly on the future. Through continuous investment, product development and commitment to renewable energy solutions, the company aims to further strengthen its position as a leading producer and supplier in the European biomass market.
