Training for inspectors of pellet plants

This training is organised for inspectors who want to perform ENplus® inspections of pellet production plants and pellet trader facilities.
As an inspector,if you want to be involved only in the inspection of pellet producers, the participation in the 2-day training (Module 1: 19 and 20 May 2025, fees: 1800€) will be required. If the inspectors want to be involved only in the inspection of the pellet traders, the 1-day training (Module 2: 21 May 2025, fees: 925€) will be required. The inspectors who are involved in the inspection of pellet producers and traders, should take part in the 3-day training (Module 3: 19, 20 and 21 May 2025, fees: 2200€). Participation in this training is considered adequate proof of qualification for persons intending to do ENplus® inspections (see requirements stated in the ENplus® standard ST 1002).
The content of the training is provided by BEA Institut für Bioenergie, an organisation with extensive experience in inspecting pellet plants and developing standards related to pellet quality. The main trainer will be Martin Englisch.
The training will include an introduction to the relevant standards, the requirements of ENplus® scheme, practical training in determining physical parameters of pellets, and inspection of two modern pellet production plants. The participants would need to pass a test for obtaining the successfully completed certificate by the end of the training. The certificate will be sent electronically to the participants within one week after the training.
Time & Location
On Monday May 19th, participants will meet in Vienna at 09:00 (details will be provided to participants directly by the trainer closer to the date). There will be a transfer and a visit of a pellet plant, before proceeding to the hotel (outside Vienna), where lectures and practical training will take place.
On Tuesday May 20th, further lectures will take place in the morning, followed by an audit of a pellet plant in the afternoon. The training will end on Tuesday latest at 18:00 for the ones who only register for a 2-day training.
On Wednesday May 21st, further lectures will take place in the morning about trade market and ENplus® requirements for traders. The training will be followed by an audit of a trader facility in the afternoon. The training will end on Wednesday latest at 17:30.
Costs
The training costs per module is:
Module 1: 1800 € (VAT excl) This fee includes training and documentation, accommodation for the 19th of May in the hotel, full board for both days and all transfer costs from Vienna to the training locations.
Module 2: 925 € (VAT excl) This fee includes training, documentation, and all transfer costs from Vienna to the training locations.
Module 3: 2200 € (VAT excl) This fee includes training and documentation, accommodation for the 19th and 20th of May in the hotel, full board for three days and all transfer costs from Vienna to the training locations.
Participants must arrange and cover their travel costs to Vienna.
Language
The training will be held entirely in English.

Note
The maximum number of participants is 10 and the minimum number is 4. To ensure a place, please register early. Registration closes maximum on Friday 2nd May 2025. We reserve the right to close the registration if the maximum number of participants is reached before this given date. If by the given date we have received the minimum number of participants (4 persons), the training will take pace. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel the event.
The registration is only valid after the bank transfer of the participation fee has been received (an invoice will be sent once the registration is done). Payment on site is not possible.
Cancellation prior to 5th May 2025, will be reimbursed in full for the participants who cannot attend the training. After this date the fees will not be reimbursed. However, the participant may name a substitute to attend in their place.
